Steering wheels

I eventually managed to remove the steering wheel of Mr Valiant Dr490. This is a relativy small steering wheel and I want to replace it with one of a large diameter.

Will all boat steering wheels fit the spindle i.e are they standarised?

The helm unit should have a Morse Taper with a woodruff key, which is pretty much universal for boat steering wheels.

Good idea - would be much more nautical............

That wheel would look good on an 8m rib like codprawns but I think it might look out of place on a small boat like mine.
