STCW 95 - Training Provider

I am looking for a recommendation for STCW95 training provider , either down south or up in sunny scotland.

I have a group of folk that is looking to be put through the 4 elements of the course.

Can anybody recommend anybody or indeed run the courses them self?

Scott

These are done regularly here by the Fisheries Colleges - perhaps you have something similar near you?

Hi Scott

I take it your referring to firefighting, first aid at sea, sea survival and CPSC?.....if so try Warsash college. (Google it and you will find their website)

We send candidates through there all the time.

Failing that try South Sheilds Maritime college as they run courses for people who live north of Watford...

I think Glasgow still run the courses also but you will need to google them and ask.

if they want stcw the rya first aid and sea survival may not be the right tickets.. For our crew / skippers they have to have amongst other certs 4day stcw medical first aid onboard ship, 4 day stcw firefighting, stcw personal survival techniques (1 day sea survival)
We do ours at fleetwood nautical college...1st aid is ok (we did drink a lot of tea ) firefighting was excellent (well it was afterwards when we stopped being frightened) but everyone smells like a kipper for days afterwards. We did send some to Aberdeen for the 4 day first aid and reports were that it was excellent-one step down from brain surgery.

Hi Scott

Try Falck Nutec at Aberdeen. Glasgow Nautical College still run the courses, but not as frequently. If your guys are further north, North Atlantic Fisheries College in Scalloway. Orkney College may still offer some elements, I'm not sure.

Falck Nutec would be the first call for me

Ian
