Sr4 covers

I'm getting SR4 covers remade. I have a slightly used but very decently designed one which covers the tubes completely, allows for a console and covers the engine and whole rear of boat apart from prop. It is fully tailored and as such is a perfect fit. It is elasticated at the base with two 2 inch webbing hull straps spanning the underside for full security.....it is properly heavy duty.
Essentially, apart from the hull, the whole boat is sealed.
I intend to have these covers remanufactured. Once in place they are actually sturdy enough to take the weight of an adult, not that you'd do that.
I'll be speccing them in orange, black and grey.
Pictures will follow. There are also security versions with cabling around the perimeter and across the sponsons.
Any ideas are greatly received as production is starting so semi-tailored versions can be catered for.
Still at prototype stage so costs aren't known, but I would not want to buy a boat cover for more than the price of the trailer!!!!!!!!
If it stops UV and weather degradation and provides out of sight out of mind (OOSOOM) security then good.

Are you incorporating cutouts for an A-frame?

Cutouts not planned but could be zippered with A-frame cover extra. Good point.

Try one of these, I had the 4m one on an SR4.7 and it fitted like a glove and awesome material too.

But see if he accepts returns

I have been looking for a cover for my SR 4M but all the ones that I have seen are tailored for a console or are just flat. I have yet to find one that will go over the windshield without the top of the screen "rubbing through" the cover, any ideas?

Spoke to PJ Covers on the phone, they were exceedingly helpful. They think the 3.5m cover will be too tight, but the 4.0m cover should pull right down over the tubes and top part of the hull giving a snug fit. If it doesn't fit they will refund my money, can't say fairer than that. So new boat cover is on it's way

Yeah, I had this one for my SR4.7

4 M RIB cover | eBay

It was a couple of years ago now so it should be fine unless he has changed the sizes.

Thats grand, i spoke with him too. My dilemma is my A frame is not fitted yet, do i go for the 5M and try to incorporate it? or go for the 4M like you did but leave the A frame out of it.

If it were me I would go for the 4m and sew in velcro so that the cover joins from the a frame and over each tube. Sew the elastic in place before you make the cut. Then sew on a webbing quick release either side to rejoin it
