But 2.2001 is a little bit younger than 07.1998. So i think it is not bad to have the CE Certificate. At all if i want to sell this boat in future.

Pleas let me know where You can have a CE certification for a few houndred, sounds cheap. Might have use for it some day!

In connection to the CE certification You will have a CE plate including a new HIN number and also owners manual.

Update!
I have posted to Zodiak with the following text:
2 months ago i have bougth a used Searider 5.4 commercial in England.
It is an old english police boat.
The seller told me the boat it is manufactured in 1998.
Now i have found the plate wiht the HIN.
The number is AVB ..... B1 01
(Number not posted here)
If i see it right, the boat ist manufactured in February 2001.
If this is true, i need a CE document for this boat.
Is it possible to get this documents?
Where can i get them and how much does it cost.

Normally in Germany it is possible to get new documents for a lost CE for a few hundred Euros from the factory.
The factory needs the HIN and the invoice from the boat.

Zodiak soon has answered .
I'll reply the post:
"When that craft was built as a "Commercial Craft" CE MARK WAS NOT FITTED.so we cannot provide this document"

No CE from Zodiak .

I think now i have two not so expensive possibilitys.
1. When i bought the boat I have got a invoice for a boat built 01.1998.
I will register the boat as a 1998.
2. I am self-employed.
Thus I try to register the boat on the Business.
I think number 1 is the first i will try to to

Hi Storm animal.
I understand the Recreational craft directive (RCD) to be exactly that. It is only applicable to recreactional/leisure craft, not commercial craft. So, you are right about not having a CE mark for commercial craft. Perhaps registering it to your business as a commercial craft is the most practical option considering your position? Good luck!

Hi there. I don't want You to spoil Your day, but if regulation is followed to the letter, a workboat (navy, police...) can technically not be taken to leisure use what ever age, unless it is CE marked before being put into service. The 1998 June date regulation applies on leisure boats. However, if a work boat has been taken into leisure use before this CE legislation was put into force, there is no issue. And if buying from a private person a used boat older than June 1998 it is highly unlikely to attract any attention.

If it can be traced from the bill of sale, one has purchased a work boat directly from police, navy without any private ownership between, there might be an issue(pending on how active the authorities in the case might be). Over here, authorities don't even sell surplus workboats to private persons, only for professional use.

In UK think the price for CE markin smaller boats is about 1250+vat

Hi!
Did you resolve this CE-marking thing eventually? I'm trying to get my SR6 from the navy to the register. Have had no conclusion yet from the authorities. The boat is from 1991.

A 1991 boat is pre CE marking therefore it doesn't require it
