Sponsored RIB Cruise for Charity

Hi Folks,

I'm afraid that this is a post begging for your cash!

In order to support the good work of Cancer Research UK, myself and mdt (who posts on here) have decided to organise a sponsored trip which will take us from the Moray Firth to Oban via the Caledonian Canal.

We would both be very grateful if you could spare a bob or two and sponsor us at http://www.justgiving.com/invernesstooban

Thanks in advance for your support.

If anyone will be around Inverness / Oban / Loch Ness then let us know!

Cheers,
fjarvis

There are a few stopping off points for beer along the route - don't carry too much in the boat you'll need the speed to do it in three days (and storage space for fuel is probably more important - as I suspect it will be harder to get hold of).

Ah but think about it… if one runs out of fuel you can get the paddles out. If you run out of beer Dehydration is a killer remember.
Are in talks with Guinness at the moment for a corporate branding deal.

Thanks for the donation Polwart. If anyone wants to see our progress, if all goes to plan we should be able to upload photos directly from the boats to http://fjarvis.blogspot.com (if we get a GPRS signal)

Cheers,
Fraser

GPRS! - you'll be lucky to get any signal! I can see an expensive phone going for a swim... ...either that or it will turn out to be a photographic record of the pubs you visit en route!
