I don't drink alcohol so I'm going to make up for NOT having a hang over by stuffing myself with bacon rolls on Sunday morning

Nadia, why not do a list of the RIBs (including little inflatable boats) that will be seeing off SoC?

Cheers

Se you all VERY soon.

KEITH,
Good use of the smiley icons.

Another summary...yes, on my list of things to do this week-end.
(did do one a few weeks ago, did you see it?) More to add now.
Plus, are you looking at arriving on Sat?

Lo and behold, I am starting to get local boats emailing me now too - so you lot will have some company!

Just waiting for Alan P and Steve L to turn up - they are down to do some work on the boat this w/end.

No idea where they are, so I will go to the local pub!
Better than waiting at home for them!!!

Yup, we did make it to the pub last night - just testing things out for the SOC send off!

The pub is called The Red House and is a hop, skip and jump(over the puddle) away from the Cardiff Bay Yacht club.
And my local!

So...not tooo far.

Went to the Cardiff Boat Jumble today and met up with the first ZAPCAT in Cardiff - nice and bright yellow.
These guys who are agents now, will be taking that one out for the SOC send off - and hopefully will have another three down here as well for that week-end.

Numbers on the water are growing.

News flash tomorrow. re summary of boats / ribs.

Three weeks minus 7hrs and 10 minutes!!

ZAPCATSs wont be in Cardiff during Sat - somewhere else.
Guy is keen to set up a race sometime though - perhaps when the SOC returns.

They will be part of the escort on Sunday.

Will be great to see the Zapcats out as part of the escort.

For anyone who hasn't seen these beasts in action - you are in for a treat (especiallyif the sea isn't exactly flat calm)

Well, the Bay may be calm or there may be some white horses on the bay, if last week was anything to go by....not sure if the Zapcats will go out into the Channel.

Not the best picture in the world - but this is the sort of things the Zapcat Boys get up to.

Dont think a few White Horses should put them off

Just out of interest - if you want to see how crazy these ZAPCAT guys really are go to http://www.zapcat.co.uk. They have tiller steering, sit on the floor and get VERY wet - (Jools will understand this)

Another way of enjoying Ribbing - if you're into that sort of thing

And these little ZAPCATS can also do 50 knots! (but apparently don't tell the insurance companies!)

Back to SOC business.

My apologies, been trying to catch up with a few things.

Will have a good read though again, check all PM's as well and update soon.

Good news, got a ribster joining us from Newport - 7.4 Avon Searider.
Sounds like a laugh and managed to convince him to come down on Sat rather than sunday, so he can have a few beers with us!
plus, told him to get some more mates, esc if they got boats.

Zapcats update - agent chappy working on getting a whole crowd down for the send off escort and they will escort out into the channel as well!!!

What do you lot think of a little river explore cruise on the Sat afternoon? Just up the river into town or the other scenic one, or both?
Alan W. you still want to organise?
Would depend on who is here and who wants to go, but perhaps early arvo on Sat, work up a thirst for the pub later!
