Solent Today 20 feb 2006

Hi all,

I was going to go out on the Solent today but it was a bit windy. Although all the information I gathered on the net showed that the wave height wasn't too bad. Because I don't live too near I wasn't able to see for myself.

Could anybody who was on the Solent today or in the area give me an idea of what it was like. I am considering going down tomorrow and was wondering if it was worth the trip.

regards Nick R.

I wasn't on the water today but saw it a few times on my way out,it was quite flat by Calshot, of course when the wind is from the north east it is quite sheltered up the south western shore,I bet it was rough on the island side though

It was kinda flat close into Hillhead, but you could see the saily boats with their spinnakers bending over further out.. Bramblemet can tell you what it was like halfway between Calshot and Cowes, and according to their data, it was windy(ish)..
