Solent Petrol prices

Hi

Where is the cheapest place to get petrol on the Solent?

I am going to dry stack my rib and don't fancy carting 25 litre fuel cans around every time I want to take my boat out, so may just refuel on the water - where's the cheapest - Cowes?, Itchen?, Hamble ?

If you end up in an MDL drystack you'll get petrol "at cost" from any MDL fuel place that does petrol - at the moment Hythe is a couple of pence cheaper at about £1.17/litre than Port Hamble - but their "normal" price is about £1.40 I think.
Premier marinas also say they do fuel at cost to berth holders - but at Gosport their "at cost " price is still up at £1.40.
We use Hythe as we come down the Itchen so it's not much of a detour.
I think Yarmouth has probably the cheapest petrol in the Solent area at about £1.32/litre at the moment.

Premier do the same offer. I'm not a berth holder and am currently paying 133p a litre at Gosport. I believe you save a few p by being a berth holder.

I took 250ltrs of petrol from MDL Port Hamble yesterday at £1.17 per ltr after discount / at cost deal.

Seemed reasonable I thought.
