the one thing I thought was apart from a dirty bottom was that you might be loosing a little bit of bang (2mph or so) becayse the Petrol has changed its got more ethanol in in.

Maybe it's everything, petrol, rough hull and softer thicker tubes = more drag.

Take it to a scale if You have the option available, the weight might tell you something, helping eliminateing som of the potential issues?

no prop change

If its not the tubes i think it's the hull

If low compression, would it sound different. Feels like the engine is pushing, just that the boat feels heavy/dragging.

Sounds good, but I'm just struggling at mo to get down there. Pops is going down prob next week and he's going to pump them right up.

All

A) what's the make up of the Humber OPro hull/deck. If its got ply in between the grp, could it have got in?

B)how would you find out if it has?

C) what do you do if it has?

you can start buy pulling some out the screws holding the seats in and checking that the holes are sealed usually with epoxy sealer and then a squirt of Sika and prod the wood under the under the grp deck and ensure its firm and dry.

Also the rubbing strake you fitted is it D Section

I reckon every new boat should come with a 'dry weight' certificate on purchase. That way you could do a calculation to see if you're carrying water. Then the next thing is to find somewhere that could weigh it?

Someone mention earlier about water entering via witches hat? Do you know if the under deck trunking is sealed or is perforated to allow any water to escape into hull void that can then be drained from the bung.
