West Dorset is £18 per day at either Lyme or West Bay, including trailer park. Season tickets offer good value at £165 for 12 months at both launch sites, including day use of pontoons and reduced rates of £10 for overnight mooring.

What license fee is required to use this? I cannot find a visitors fee just an annual fee to cover Portsmouth Harbour. It would be good to take sib into the harbour to view the big boats (at a distance).

You don't need a license for Portsmouth Harbour, so feel free to come and have a look at the ships (while we've still got some left)!

You can buy an annual slipway fob for the Camber for £60 / year rather than paying £2.50 a time (available from KB Boatpark office).

Even if you do get charged its only about £5.00 for a 5m rib with free parking for both car and trailer. Fully agree about low tide though, anything +/- 2-3 hours of high tide is a nightmare.

It's a well known spot for light fingers there! Avoid like the plague!

I'm not sure you'll find a cheaper storage site though. I'd offer myself my my wee yard is full!!!

QAB is very nice though and for what would be less than £20 saving I'd stuck with that. They can go in at most states of tide too, if not all.

Enjoy

Thanks for the thought! My main concern is security and being close to our accommodation so QAB fit the bill for us. Obviously the Mt Batten slip is free but QAB is a better slip and we can use showers, toilets, Sound Bites and of course Chandlers for a beer!

We will have 7 boats out for the Yealm Passage Race so if anyone want to say hello don't hesitate - we are friendly!!
