Sky and BT Openreach

Just wanted to comment how impressed i am with these two...

I have been getting shite broad band since we moved into the new house. However after a call to sky they sent our BT openreach who came round today and spent 2 hours up in the attic working in shite dusty conditions to fit new cabling and a new test socket.

Now getting 4mg which compared to 1.5 I was getting is superb...

V Impressed!

Check your mail - I got it too - swiftly followed by an "oops we sent this in error" message. :-(

Openreach have to fix everyones problems, because they control all the wired (old BT) network ... and the line is their responsibility up to the test socket. Sounds like you had some bad connections that would have affected any supplier (except the fibre optic ones obviously)

Sky service is good in that its not capped, so you can download as much as you like, but its contention ratio can get a bit high so you end up fighting for bandwidth from other users, but at 4 meg , I doubt if that will be an issue for you
