sinking car

Californian man's narrow escape from sinking truck - BBC News

Fortunately the driver got out alright.

Not a fan of the bystanders shouting "helpful" advice. I guess none of them have seen Mythbusters (i.e. winding down windows unlikely to work, wont be able to open the doors until pressure equalised, kicking out the windows not trivial).

If it was me on the side i'd like to think that i'd be stripping off and getting into the water to the car before it sank, ready to help the guy out if he got stuck/disoriented, rather than standing around possibly watching a man die, "gee why isn't he out yet?"
