Sink or fly?

Saw this combo on eBay - a 40hp, tiller steered, on an air deck boat. Is this madness?
Wouldn't the boat buckle?

Anyone ever tried this...and lived to tell the tale??

To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism; to steal from many is research.

I saw that and thought the same

I used to have exactly the same boat and if I remember correctly I was using the max allowed which was 30hp - it was pretty hairy at times with that!

With 40hp, Yes the boat would almost definitely buckle under WOT and could be really dangerous
