Sikaflex question

Which grade of Sikaflex should be used for attachment and seal sealing to hypalon.
Thanks T.

I think sikaflex is for bonding deck fittings, bostik 2402 for sticking hypalon.

I was told by a very good repair man at Fineway Marine (avon dealer in norfolk) that sometimes sikaflex can work better than hypalon glue depending on the sort of fabric. This seemed to be true on my Osprey; I glued the lifelines back on with it and it worked really well.

Thanks for the info Tim.
What grade/type of Sikaflex did you use? I have a number of repairs to make that involve fiberglass to Hypalon in addition to sealing PVC rub strakes to hypalon at the blunt end

Sikaflex

I have just gone through resticking down Rubbing strakes to my Hypalon tubes and using the bostik adhesive it was an easy job although a little time was involved, I would be careful doing tube work using Sikaflex its strong stuff but if you ever needed to replace the strake or do further work on the tubes in future it will be a real pain to work with the stuff you have sikaflexed.
