Sightseeing in Lyme Bay

Has anyone been into Lyme Bay to have a peek at the Napoli?
I just wondered how welcome we are as tourists with cameras etc
I'm aware of the 500M exclusion zone, but I believe they are trying to discourage all boats from the vicinity. I plan on leaving Calshot on Sat to go have a look.... weather looks good for the weekend

Oogs,

We visited Lyme Regis about 5 weeks ago and decided to drive over to Branscombe Beach to have a look (by Car).
There was a Police cordon around the village and the only way to get to the beach was parkup outside the village and walk in.
The cordon may have gone now.

Eventually we drove over to Sidmouth and looked at the Napoli from there. It looked like the coastguards were out in force to keep boats away.
You can get on the Coast Path and walk towards Branscombe from Sidmouth for a closer look as well if you're feeling energetic!

It would be alot more interesting by boat though!
