shot blasting ???

Hi Guys

Has anybody on here had the inside of a rib shot blasted?

I have a navy spec SR5.4 which has been re flowcoated between the deck and sponson flange which has not been prepared properly and the deck has been painted with non slip paint which is also lifting to reveal a few years of over-coating.

I feel she deserves a proper job of preparation prior to re flow coating and non slip deck paint
so considering sand / shot blasting.

not sure whether it would cause damage to the underlying CSM
