never ceases to amaze me the stuff like this you see around - cars boats - even planes - usually left in a field!!!

When will farmers ever learn - no matter how many Land Rovers you plant in a field(or RIBS) they will never grow!!!

Judging by the painted numbers on the 'rude looks like the engine could be ex-RNLI. Boat looks like a 5.4 Searider to me? Would make a good project for someone but whoever owns it obviously doesn't deserve to have a boat.
Someone should phone up the DVLA and find out who owns that number plate on the lightboard and then put a really low offer in for it.

Alex

I think it only needs a clean ( albeit a good one) the console is under a cover and the mould on the tubes say it hasn't ben in the water for a year or so (probably 2). the licences on the back say it was last in the water in the 2001 season

But the Avons are made proper so the tubes probably won't be porous yet.

You'd probably get that back up to scratch in three daysproviding the engine is OK

Have to agree with Mr. Codprawn on this.

Andre and I see so many RIBs just left to the elements.

Big shame.

My Gemini is my pride and joy. I couldn't leave a RIB like that after the amount I have invested in mine.

Oh yes and these are ribs belonging to diving club. Some people just do not care at all. They are only divers why should we be suprised. I am sure on the other hand that they take great care of their diving gear

Rogues right yet again, with some TLC that baby could be brought back to life, a bargain if bought at the right price.

Hey Ollyit, are you a member of ECA? I've got an application form and quite fancy joining but would like to find a bit more out about the place first.

Tell me where there's a helicopter in a field!!! I'm looking for an Allison T63 turbine, or perhaps an Isotov GTD-350.

The 2 I have seen have been almost completely stripped - Allison are now owned by Rolls Royce(aero) by the way.

Look on ebay - they come up from time to time - especially out of hours ones if not wanted for air use.

Like somebody mentioned, contact the DVLA, Information from Records department with a letter of explanation to track down the owner of the car. They charge for this service.

or ask a friend who has access to the DVLA records, like a car insurance broker, or a policeman.....

or track it down from the boat license plates

or better, ask the marina who's it is.

Oh I do like this guy! :eventhough he's a member of a minority group

I'd actually be surprised if the boat was for sale. It's obviously been in someone's garden for a few years judging by the baramble growth on the rude and the mank on the Tubes. Now it's on a trailer in a Marina having been hacked out of a jungle. I think it changed hands just before it got to the Marina.

However it is odds on that the marina will be billing for it being there so they would now the owner!

Andre ... are you up for a fight!!!

Out at sea miles from land diving with my only hope of survival a RIB to pick me up and get me home ... I will be damn sure its looked after. I think you may find us divers are not all arseholes when it comes to our RIBs, and in most cases we have a better understanding of the sea and good boat handling skills ... your & bait was taken my friend!

I suspect whoever owns this kit treats all his toys in this way .. love to see his car.

Rogue I think you will find that these 'rudes are so envrionmentally friendly (especially the E-TECS) that they form their own ecosystem!
