Set up RIB for sportfishing

I currently have a c14 with 2 30 litre tote tanks under a solld bench seat at the back which is a really good system.

I have a 40hp that has gears on the tiller, but also has hytraulic assist. But one thing it has that I havnt set up is a coil ready for charging, it has the insulated plugs ready for inserting the wires to charge a battery. Can some one explain how the battery end is set up?

Also Id like a box to sit on the bench seat to house a fish finder, being in a box it will give me good contrast and keep the rain off. Would it be worth installing a proper radio vs a handheld?

Also Id like some lights, Im considering a rocket launcher.

I dont currently have oars as there not oar lock pins set up, but does have the velcro to hold some. Should I just get some paddles, or should I just get a cheap used 2hp as an auxillary in case things go wrong?

Depends how far out you are planning on going a fixed vhf with fixed antenna generally gives better range (range is height in VHF) but no good if your in the drink with boat drifting away on wind/tide.

Rocket launcher? FLares? We generally use handhelds and yes get some!

FOr lights you need an A frame so this means more gear on the transom....

Thats a lot of gear to fit to a small boat with limited storage....

Aux engine is great unless your out of fuel.... Oars or at least telescopic paddle are a good idea. You'll need rollocks
