Selva - Buy or avoid

I have an opportunity to purchase a 3 year old Selva 60 with about 50 hours of low rpm usage. Does anyone know if the quality is sh*te or is it a good buy at about £1500?

If it's a 4-stroke then it'll be a good 'un and an excellent buy for £1500.

I suppose it's a 2-stroke?

It's a two stroke with oil injection. I would intend to put it on a hard boat I have.

The 2-strokes aren't particuarly highly regarded in the industry. Personally, I can't comment, as have never owned nor worked on one. Due to their rarity, I expect spare parts (especially used ones) would be difficult to source.

Ditto.

I'd want to live near a dealer if I bought one.

the parts aren't hard to get, a main dealer in poole area and really helpful, bought a selva package the other year, 6.60m rib twin 50hp, the engines were all right, not in the same bracket as say yamaha but alright
