Seat Foam - Flew Sails- ??
I'm currently re-building my jockey seats as part of the general tidy up of Nashers Revenge before putting her up for sale.
Having searched on here regarding getting hold of some Semi-circular foam I contacted Flew Sails in Porchester.
They have refused to sell me any despite having it in stock.
They would be quite happy to supply complete seats already covered, but will not supply the foam - Ba**ards.
Any other suggestions in the pompey area?
The local foam suppliers are telling me they will need to order it in as a special order, and for the amount I need will be very expensive.
Nasher.

Have you tried searching for 'Foam Supplies' in yell.com
...came up with this:
B.J.M Upholstery Ltd.
107, Guildford Rd, Portsmouth, Hampshire PO1 5EA
Tel: 023 9282 2642
Not sure if thats of any use or not?!?

A little further away but pop into SM Upholstery in Golden Common.
Mark on 02380615092...
At the prices he offers would advise new seats as he does a very good job and doesn't charge southern marine rates...

Thanks, done the search on yell, BJM are one of those that have offered to get it in as a special order cut to shape by their supplier. But at a big cost for the 1.5m I need.
Rodan
New seats are just not an option I'm afraid.

Couldn't you just buy a large chunk of the stuff and carve it up yourself?

Andy(Hightower)
I've tried before to get a good finish when carving up motorcycle saddles, its almost impossible.
I thought it was readily available pre-cut, but obviously not.
Has anyone got an electric carving knife I can borrow to have a go at carving it up myself?

Do you have access to a bandsaw? Last time I ordered some custom-cut foam that was what the foam company used!

Try Pigbags at Port Hamble. They also rent a unit from us at our business park on Hamble Lane. Speak to Amanda or Roger and tell them that Ian at the Art of Living recommended you.
They have been helpful with everything that I have asked but then I always threaten to put the rent up if they don't help out

i've had good luck cutting foam with a serrated knife and a blow torch.
use the torch to keep the business end of the knife nice and hot and you'll
be cuttin' that foam like it was buttah.
