Searider seat dimensions

As the title suggests I'm after the dimensions for the searider seat.
I may also be after a seat it self if the measurements are somewhere near if anyone has one they don't want?

Thanks

Phill

If it's for a standard 2 man jockey console off a 5.4 then I am in the middle of rebuilding mine as the ply had rotted out. I can measure the wood later but you would need to source a couple of stainless reiinforcements for the seat back. Let me know if I can help.

Whats happened is I've got a console and am awaiting delivery of a seat pad with no back rest.
Looking on the forum from what I can see all seariders already have a back rest built in. and I wondered if it was the right size for my console?

I would suggest waiting until the console arrives and then seeing what dimensions you have on that. Then it will be much easier to see what is happening.

I've got the console and a seat that fits (turned up this morning). Problem is I havn't got a back rest, which the SR seats seem to have.

One of mine doesnt either mate -

I'll upload 2 pics showing you - one has a raised section before the metal backrest

My main sr, just has a fall off the end kind of deal! scary for the third person on the back - Id like to fix that with a backrest at least!

I'll look into knocking up some sort of back rest as the seat I got off another member on here is in good nick and will match the tubes too!

Seeing the two seats you have Olly it looks as though they would be too long anyway. I'll just hold on tight....

Just another thought. If you put in footstraps backrests become less necessary (but still very nice to have).

Compared to your consoles Olly I have a taller front section. I have driven seariders with the lower front console the only complaint is if you like to stand up.

What are the foot straps made off Phill? And how are they fitted to the deck?

Looks like hypalon with reinforcing.
The ones we have on the Atlantic are as above and are glued to the deck, just the usual prep work and then two coats of glue.
We haven't broke any since we got the 75 but on the 21 we used to replace a few and removing the old ones used to rip splinters out of the deck so they's no chance of em coming off.

I hardy use them on the Atlantics, prefer to jam my foot under the tube although in the footwell you have no choice.
If fitting them yourself you should get them where YOU want them, after all the RNLI can't keep everyone happy!

Sorry for taking this thread on a tangent mate and thanks for the info. Basically then I just need to source a strong material and fit to the deck in the most secure way.
How about nailing me Wellies down ?

Have a look here:

I'm sure Paul Tilley on here could supply you with some.

Kermits eyes tend to slow you down too much!
