Searider Orange

Just received this info from Avon and thought I'd post it for anyone interested and on it's own so it's not lost in a thread.

From Avon

Boats built before 1999 were Tangerine Orange, unfortunately
I do not have the colour number for this.

Boats built after 1999 are international Orange, BS 381C, Colour 592.]
But again we have no RAL number for this.

I'd being interested on a bit of clarifcation on this also -

my main 5.4 is 1986 and a common lighter orange pictured below

my other 5.4 (age unknown at present) I think is newer but the hull, transom + console etc is of a much redder orange,

I'd like to know the colours as I'd like to re - paint the deck on my project one the correct colour -

ref the age, if the chassis number isnt on the rear, try looking for a black hypolon tag up front on the o/side, the last two numbers dictates the age, this is the same number as on the transom
Now tubes lie around for years and could have been swapped or replaced so only a guide unless original tubes,

Olly, the orange on your main boat has probably faded quite a lot over the 22 years of its life, especially if its been sat on the top of a ship or something.

Im sure its RAL 2002 Vermilion rather than the brighter orange they put on earlier SR's RAL 2004 Pure orange

Your thoughts anyone or where I can buy and or get mixed up?

thanks daniel, do you think Pure Orange - RAL 2004 will be a match for the darker orange you can see in the pic above, I might call Avon as well
