Sea start

Has anyone got any experience of these guys, I carry some oars but not a spare motor so I've signed up, hoping I don't need them and I've wasted my money, bit like insurance really

Hi Geoff
Not a waste of time or money in my book, the peice of mind and the 24/7 - 365 day cover means there is someone to help, although i am a bit biased as i work for them in and around Plymouth/Salcombe area, i find them great to deal with and i try to respond very quickly when they call me to assist a member or some times a non member.
Happy ribbing

Good to hear some positive thoughts, when I say 'wasted' I just hope I don't get a problem and need to make that call, but piece of mind was certainly why I enrolled

We are members of Sea Start and have been for four or so years, I have been bailed out(not literally) twice with flat batteries. Despite being on the pontoon alongside their office they still attended. I see them on the water regularly and would recommend them.
Even if you are technically minded, that is no good whilst rolling about on waves trying to fix the engine, you will be towed to safety

Well worth the small amount of money to join in my view!

Had reason to use them last weekend and as usual, their service was outstanding!

yes, I think their coverage in Timbuktu is a little limited, but you get the idea?
