It was back in 1984 not sure if the Transvaal Afrikaner is more educated these days but back then he didn't get it

I've tried them. The seat backs snap off in heavy seas. Maybe ok if you're doing yachty stuff with tarts draped but no good in heavy weather.....which is what I thought they were for.
Secondly, seats like that will only encourage bad boat driving. If your slamming the boat then you should also be getting slammed yourself.

Admittedly they do look pretty cool if you ignore the rusty bits.....just so long as you don't look underneath the seats where it all looks a tad home made.
