Right you are . They don't have a very big range of stuff so it's a bit of hit and mis . They will usually give you discount as a % and they give you a £20.00 voucher which they say is for next visit but I usually get it off that days purchase . Depends how much neck you have on you .

Just been out foraging not found many lobsters but loads of damson, blackberries and haws

Cheers Sloes are in short supply this year, we brought 4kg back from France, hence the trip to Makro. They've got Gordons gin on offer. Not many lobbys in Belper, I've heard there's plenty of crabs about though

The day that turned Into a drink ended up with Jura whiskey and my mates home made sloe gin . Not a great combination . You may know but the sloe or black thorn is a prunus which is part of the cherry family . Last year trees were hanging with them but not such a great crop this year . Damsons a plenty though .
Trying out Hugh, s haw sin recipe with the haws not done it before .

If it's crabs you want you have a far better chance of catching them in Ripley than Belper far better class of slapper .

No problem . It just looked like freespirit3 along with quite a few of us foreigners were generally singing the praises of this beautiful area .

This is the first forum I have ever used and written banter can be difficult to understand . which is why I dont bother with any other such as Facebook etc .
