Sailing dinghy question

Does anyone have a 2 person sailing dinghy or know where I can get hold of one for a day on the river Fowey in 2 or 3 weeks? I'd buy one, but it's not practical to tow 2 boats...

You could give Fowey Gallants SC a call, they're probably well placed to know of someone. Alternatively, you could always ask Alan or Trev at the Quay cafe at Penmarlam boatyard, they seem to know everyone lol

I should be down there in a week or two myself and was thinking of taking my Kestrel down. If I'm around at the same time, you're welcome to have a go Having said that, it may be just for a day or two so I'm not sure I can bothered dragging it 300 miles each way. Deffo down in the summer tho

Thanks-It'd be appreciated if you're bringing it down

I did think about asking at the Gallants-definitely worth a try.

We should be down at the same time then. We'll be at Penmarlam for a couple of weeks.

Trev and Alan have opened a Cafe now instead of a burger bar? Or do you mean the lean-to next to the trailer?

I'd be dangerously close to overloading the car with 2 weeks camping and boating gear plus a dinghy big enough for 2 on a roofrack. I was thinking of a Tinker dinghy, but they sail like a greased pig on an icerink.

Yes please--I'd appreciate that very much (though it'll be significantly less than a week as I'll have to pay storage on it )

hello nos4r2 Mollers boat may well do your job however FWIW Polkerris Beach - Watersports at Polkerris Beach is just around the corner from the entrance to the Fowey. I was going to hire a boat from them when I was last in Fowey end of last year but ran out of time.
