I carry one of these: Safety Rescue Cutter - Stainless Steel Blade - Cuts Belts & Ropes FAST! | eBay

And have more traditional knife (I have no tubes to puncture!) in the locker.

I have the same sort of thing I carry along with the safty knife...they can work better than a knife in some situations!...on Gill Nets for instance!!
