Safe return to Holland

As we promissed to the many RIBnet posters we now for the first time met "Live" at the Ribex, this is a message that we arrived safely in our home harbour again last Sunday.

On our way back from Cowes to France, we had to make a stop in Brighton because of a distress signal from the engine which switched over to "get you home slowly mode". With good help of Graham, Michael and Oakley, we managed to get a new voltage regulator transported from abroad and fitted so we could resume the journey after a involunatairy but very pleasurable extra 6 days in Brighton.

Thanks Louise and Richard for your sympathy,
Charles for a energising short tour to Southampton
and everyone else we met for having beeng there, wise words, laughs and drinks.

Till next time,
Bart (and Romy, Corry, Rita, Mark and Louis)

Apologies for getting the womanfolk so wet - we try to outrun the rain to no avail. At least you were good crew and no-one complained.

Totsiens .......

What a surprise to see you at Brighton Marina on Friday!

Sorry to hear that you had a problem, but good that it's now fixed.

It was very pleasant to see you all again, look forward to seeing you again at next years Ribex?

Next years Ribex...

Hi Charles and Richard,

For next year's Ribex we're thinking of a hooded trailer with luxury seats behind the Scorp for the ladies so we too can fly over the waves without breaking their backs nor getting them soaked . For Romy it doesn't matter where she sits; she always gets the spray!

Our solution of the two extra seats in the back is perfect for a trip on the lake or in the canals of Amsterdam, but in the English Channel and the Solent two persons is the max for acceptable comfort at higher speeds on our RIB!

On our way back I had to slow down to below 15 knots because of the many "pot holes" at the French side of the Channel.

Wish we could meet more often - I do apreciate the sense of community among you ribsters a lot!

Cheers,
Bart
