Sad News from Jersey

Taken from the local news:

Quote:
Body Identified As French Visitor

A man found dead in Jersey's St Helier harbour was on a trip from St Malo.
Police have named him as 41 year old Frenchman Antoine Arcade.
He and three friends came across from St Malo on Sunday evening on 2 RIBs.
They docked at the Albert Quay.
Mr Arcade's body was found floating in the harbour yesterday morning.
Police say the death is not being treated as suspicious.
A report will be passed to the Viscount's Office.

I've had a quick look on the Cap Breizh forum, couldn't see any reference although he may well have been on there.

A sad start to the season but a timely reminder to everyone to take care on the water, whether we're 50nm offshore or on the pontoon.

And to wear your lifejacket at all times. Something we're all guilty of not doing!

Definitely. The statistic that over 50% of accidents happen within ten miles of home certainly rings true on the road, and even more so on the water where the risk of accident in a marina is greater than outside it.

Thoughts with his family, of course.
