Commercial rust remover is, I believe, acidic.

Might try lemon juice or vinegar (place a wet cloth on the stains for a bit.)

Might work, might not.

Personally, I'd go with stainless chain. It is expensive, but shouldn't require replacement anytime soon...

Hi I always go for stainless as the bow anchor locker always collects some water and rain. I have never had any trouble with rust. In the long run I know it is dearer but overall you save in other ways. Hope this helps

i still have major confidence issues about using an anchor... even thou monsterous container ships have been using them for decades... I still don't like the fact that there's nothing permenatly attached to terra firma!
