The organizers of the international rally "Russian RIB Rally St. Petersburg – Sochiğ, to be held in August 2011, invite you to attend the first open contest that will cross Russia from the Baltic Sea to the Black Sea and will pass by the longest river in the Europe - Volga .

The Russian Federation has the world's largest network of inland waterways. In the European part of Russia there is an unparalleled single deep-water system, which includes major rivers and their tributaries and inter-basin connections. The total length of the Russian inland waterways in the last decade has been maintained at about 100 thousand km.
The longest river of the European Russia and the Europe - the Volga is long 3531 km. It connects to the Baltic and Black Sea with a lock’s system. Unfortunately, the inland waterways of Russia were closed for the passage of vessels under the foreign states’ flags. But all will change from 2011 and it will start from you.
The Russian market is the fastest growing in the world. The growth of the market averages 30%. The potential is enormous, because a boat has 50 000 potential clients and Russia's population in 2010 footed up to 141,927,296 people.
That is why we are organizing in Russia the biggest race on the RIBs in the world, because they belong to the category of the boats of national consumption and are available to almost everyone due to the fact that their cost is very democratic.
Your participation in the Russian RIB Rally will be the most successful promotional program for the conquest of the yacht market in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and the Baltic countries.
The transnational race "Russian RIB Rally" (
www.ribrally.ru) starts in August 2011 in St. Petersburg and will finish in Sochi. We will have intermediate stops in the Russian cities of Cherepovets, Moscow, Yaroslavl, Nizhniy Novgorod, Kazan, Samara, Saratov, Volgograd, Rostov-na-Donu, Novorossiysk and will organize promotional programs for the townsmen and the race’s participants. A many-millioned audience will follow the races all over the world via the Internet.
The world industry of water-tourism and yachting divelops intensively and has at the moment a multibillion-dollar circulation which is especially characteristic for the seaside resort towns. In this business area in many countries are involved thousands of people. The Russian tourist map is a white spot in this area. You have the opportunity to leave your trace in the water-tourism history of the one of the largest countries in the world.
For the attraction of the interest to the possibilities of the Russian water-tourism, we invite 200 boats' /type-RIB/ manufacturers from 28 countries.
The organizers of the races: the Yacht Club Green Island (
www.gi-yachtclub.ru) and the TV channel Ocean-TV (
www.ocean-tv.su ) have a positive experience in the organization of the sporting competitions on the water. We have held such events as: the annual international amateur regatta "OCEAN MEDIA CUP" (Mediterranean Sea), the Race for the Cup of the Aquatic Motor Sports Federation and many others. To participate in the "Russian RIB Rally" are involved also our partners - the Aquatic Motor Sports Federation of the RF, the Speed Boats Club, the Skippers’ Club “Lord of Waters", which gives to the competition a professional status. We give a particular attention to the project's security. We involve for this purpose the Russian State Inspection of the Small Boats to accompany the rally.
This rally is in the first place a competition and we are preparing with the Russian Aquatic Motor Sports Federation the Races’ regulations that will be submitted to the rally’s participants later.
We pay also attention to media coverage of the rally. We have carried on negotiations with the regional media for the project’s coverage. We attract the attention of the Russian federal channels and news agencies and of the other countries participating in the rally.
One of the initiators of the project – the satellite channel on the water space OCEAN-TV has all the necessary facilities and experience in the covering sport events on the water. His audience is more than 8 million viewers.
The Ocean-TV will broadcast about each team, all the rally participants. You can send your video data on your production, directly on the RIB to be presented at the rally and about your team. You can also send an appeal to all the rally’s participants. Every week, since February, the network will broadcast about the preparations to the Russian RIB Rally 2011.
To participate in the Russian RIB Rally is necessary to:
- Fill out an application on the teams' registration page,
- Pay the entry fee of EUR 25 000 for the RIB and a team composed of 6 persons (all the additional team members will pay EUR 3,500 for person
- Arrive at the starting place by the appointed time (three days before the official launch)
- Be briefed, get navigation maps for the passage by the Russia's inland waterways.
The price includes: the boat insurance, the team insurance, the refuelling, the team feeding, the transfer, the accommodation. More detailed information will be presented to the participants after the filing and payment of the application.
