Royal Marine RIBs (ish)

The RM are doing an exercise at Castlemartin at the moment (lugging bloody great guns off and onto the pontoon). The landing craft, along with a Pac24 were tied up as we came off survey this evening, so grabbed some pics..... )

Called an ORC ( offshore raiding craft) twin styre engines. Kitted up in gunboat mode. Just shy of 30 foot 4 1/2 tonnes. Glad I don't have to teach young landing craftsmen how to drive those anymore

A friend of mine is based in Poole, they sure have some big toys to play with!! Often see them out during the week in the raiding craft, if I'm windsurfing in the harbour. I have seen them out in something very slim & very fast a few times too.

Those stealth boats are mean looking things 3000hp!
