Roy Bishop - Osprey Ribs

Some sad news for all of you that knew Roy. After am 18 month battle with cancer Roy passed away last Sunday. I was privileged to spend a few hours with Roy at his home earlier this month and even though he was clearly in very poor health he still had his photo album out and I spent a few very pleasant hours talking to Roy about his boating exploits over the years.

My condolences to Roys' wife and family and I am sure many of you will join me in raising a glass to Roy when on the next boating trip.

A picture below of Roy at the helm of Into the Red with Mike Whitham.

So sorry to hear this news, both me and AJ lost our fathers within the last year so I know what goes into the support during these times and how his family must be feeling.

If the round Isle of Wight trip goes to plan like I'm sure it will I would like to raise some money for charity and to remember Roy if that is ok with his family.

This is indeed sad news. I had the pleasure of dealing with Roy during my purchase of Venom. He was always very accommodating and was obvious that he had a passion for RIBbing.

Would be nice to get as many Ospreys as possible together for this charity cruise?

What sad news. As has been already said, such an easy going and pleasant guy to deal with and passionate about Ospreys. This cancer thing is getting scary

Very sorry to hear that. Roy was such a huge help in putting together Seawolf from a great distance, I never met him in person but spoke to him numerous times by phone and his passion for his boats was obvious. Condolences to his family and friends from the deep south - RIP.
