There's lots of Puffins about, not as many as the west coast of England as there were 1,000s there.

Again the coastline of Scotland is amazing

Nightmare!!!!

Facebook post by the Targa's

Hi Everyone, some not so good news I'm afraid. After almost catching you up and chatting to Alastair and Trevor G on VHF this morning we throught our pit stop at Inverness would enable us to rejoin the group today. Sadly my 2nd new helm control unit has triggered more alarms when we start our starboard engine and Volvo can't get a Software update to us until Monday! It has however given Mike Deacon the opportunity to investigate his bow thruster issue. We might be able to leave Monday/Tuesday but as you head south, were running out of time to catch up. Very frustrating....... Weather looks a bit windy over next few days so stay safe everyone

There's loads of seagulls around and I don't fancy my chances sleeping out under the stars with them!!! One of them is massive!!!

We all meet up for dinner and Alistair gives me the heads up on a hotel around the corner and the rooms are just 25!!!

So I order my food and I'm off to investigate, I reach the hotel and walk in through the open door and there's a makeshift desk and no ones around.

I call up the hall and then after a few minutes a shifty looking guy appears and I ask to see a room and I'm given the keys...

This isn't a hotel, it's a house with yale locks fitted to normal internal doors

The room stinks, the sheets look dirty and there's mould and dust everywhere....

I'm off

I'll take my chances with the worlds biggest Seagull!!!

I've been sending my kids some pics of the wildlife I've seen and I've managed to take a few pics of some jelly fish...

This has to be the thread of all time for Ribnet. It just makes you want to say "F**k it! It can be done". (Then I see my wife looking over my shoulder). Respect to you all for doing it, especially you Alex with a family and roughing it, though I suspect in hindsight, the latter part will be a significant part of your fond memory. You deserve it for all your hard Mac work.
