Rope around the tubes for insert - How to create?

Hi guys, first post.. I tried to search for this on the forum but could not find..

I have inserts in a Seadoo Explorer that are approx 2.6m long, similar to the rope inserts in zodiacs.

Also have PVC tubes that measured perfectly to fit, now the dilemma.

The tubes don't have the rope-in-vinyl for anchoring it to the boat hull and I want to add this to the tubes.

Is there a recommended process for bonding PVC (Like type of glue and adhesive prep work) to PVC to create this anchoring system?

Is it MEK and then a type of contact adhesive? I'll try add some photos after this post to make it clearer.

Also if the slot hole is ~8mm, what rope thickness is recommended?

Thanks in advance.

Which two bits are you trying to stick together ? If they are both pvc then you'll be best using a pvc contact adhesive such as the one polymarine manufacture but I wasn't overly sure what you are trying to achieve (don't tow inflatables so don't know an awful lot about them sorry)

The tubes attach to the hull by a system similar to rope in sails that travel in a rope guide

The tubes have no rope attached.

Trying to figure out how to do this...
