Wondered how long it would take Stu to shout on a RollerCoaster thread!

what shape is the hole in the retaining washer and how much gap is there between the flat of the oval axle and the I.D. of the washer

i have oval bars at the front set of rollers and the ones at the rear are round, have quite a few rollers on mine

can provide pics if that helps

also smother em in grease and all seems to be fine, i will check mine this coming year as will be 8 yrs old then

The clips on my old one started to rust and get loose after 3 years, then as suggested earlier in the thread drilled them and fitted stainless penny washers and split pins and did not have another problem for next 5 years.
