Rip-off on the internet

I have been informed by other users of the internet that some people are contacting car or boat sellers and make unreliable offers. They propose to buy a car or boat by cheque with an amount much larger than the price of the item (because of special reasons like exchange rates, taxes, shipping ...) and ask the seller to reimburse the difference, usually by Western Union Money Transfer (so, in cash). The cheques bounce afterwards and the money is lost. So please make sure that you make appropriate arrangements with the buyer to ensure that you receive full payment.
