Ribtec info wanted

Hi all
I have been lent a Ribtec 585 about 1996 era, sold my Pac and the Atlantic still needs to be finished off.

It has an inbuilt fuel tank, but i have no idea what size it is, so if you can help out it would be great.

It has a Fitch 115 fitted, what sort of fuel consumption am i looking at.

Cheers

1L = 1 nautical mile approximately, you shouldn't be far off.

Assuming one of the older ones 38l/hr at WOT, about 22 l/hr at cruising speed

If one of the newer (2003/4 onwards) then this will improve slightly

Cheers guys

I am trying to work out if i need to carry extra fuel for a trip to Salcombe and back to Plymouth.

I thought i drained all the old fuel out, but i only managed to get 50 odd ltrs in before it over flowed

It's got a fuel gauge but it don't work, yet, I know i had plenty in my Pac, but this is an unknown, it's on loan

Ian, I have a circa 1990 585 which has a 60 litre tank only, so possible you may have that also.

P.S. get about 1.2l per mile from a 135hp Mariner, on average.

Is that a CI boat - white hull with dark blue tubes?

If so I've got a similar boat with twin 60hps on the back and it's got a 110ltr tank in it.

Chris

Hi Chris
Yes it is a cl20, white hull and dark blue tubes, i was sure i got most of the fuel out and then started refilling, loaded a coulpe of cans in, started on the third (syphoning) and soon smelt petrol, turned around and it overflowing, hence the question.
