Alan crossed the North Atlantic in one, and Brian (bitten to buggery on here) has a very nice 7m one. I did have the 6.45m version, which was known for cracks along the spray rails. Mine hadn't been looked after by previous owners and the under deck stringers were wet Paul (Tue on here) down in Plymouth had the same problem needing a deck out to replace. The are constant deep V hull so do like lots of power to make them go. Not made in the UK anymore btw. Personal opinion, but I would choose the 7.5m Viper, or Parker over the Ribtec. They did have a really good reputation in the mid 90s but it all seemed to go down hill when the started building those camel ribs.

Thanks for that..
I had in mind the Ribtec 740 or a vipermax 7m, so perhaps the viper would be better.
With a budget now of 25k ex tax it opens up a few more options..
Thanks
