The Rib-Tec 5.85 is a lovely boat, but so is the Rib Craft 5.85. I trialled both last year and ended up with the latter, altho' if the right deal had come up on the Rib Tec I would happily have got one instead. Why don't you try talking to Bembridge Outboards (ask for Jim) as they frequently have good, late 2nd hand examples of both for sale.

Thanks again people!
So, I spoke to the broker yesterday and offered £8750. Dont think the seller will agree to ths but I didn't really want to pay any more.
It might be a case of waiting a while.
Unfortunately I think Pete7 's 655 will be too thisty with that 150 Mariner on the back. Nice looking boat though!

Janis kindly sent me the datails on an Osprey Sea harrier with a 150 VMAX. It looks like a good boat - dont know the asking price yet - but the hull looks like it flattens off quite a bit towards the stern. Is this the case or is it just my eyes?
If anone knows much about them and how they might compare to the Ribtecs, I would be very grateful of any comments.

Nick
