RIBS and Piles

A " friend" of mine has recently experienced a nasty attack of haemerroids.

I'm trying to persuade him to come out on the RIB with me and that if we let the tubes down a bit, they might provide a comfortable cushion for his problem.

He isn't convinced and thinks standing up may be safer, but I'm worried he may bump a sensitive part against something hard.

Would it be OK to go out with deflated tubes for him to sit on, perhaps there is a maximum speed limit whilst in a "Pile Protection Configuration"?

Sitting Comfortably

Is this a joke! I know your "friend" would be more comfortable in a Scorpion...

Perhaps a good dose of bromine will get rid of the hard spots.
Perhaps a treatment of a combination of Preparation H and Vasilene would help before the trip.

don't let him sit too near the stern , getting piles wrapped round the prop could be nasty

Theres a legendary story about an incident at a boat show where a rib builder was setting off on a demo run. and his wife was running down the Pontoon waving his Pile cushion in the air hollering out ***** you've forgotten this.

However a more serious reply is that I'd avoiding the sedentary option if possible and have him standing, but that's got to be done safely. Do you have any standing room behind your rear seats, or could you slide a seat forward to enable this?

I can't believe that anyone here is suggesting that someone with a medical condition should even contemplate looking at a RIB without seeking advice from their GP.

Really! How am I supposed to issue your traffic warden badges if you behave in this rash way?

John

Fiona P was seen running down the pontoon with a cushion for Marc Pascoe at the cardiff 04 finals.

Install a commode instead of a jockey seat...

About as easily as sitting on a semi-inflated tube I should think!

I was under the impression we were talking about a passenger. But if he's the driver could you not slide the seat, there on tracks on your boat aren't they, you could mebbe get a leaning post fitted
