That was also a big part of my thinking - I was never more than half an hour form a marina with walk ashore pontoons and hot showers and it was always the ex's concern as all RIBS have a built in toilet just over the transom - although some splashwells are very badly thought out in this regard !

I have one in my rib, it's been there for a number of years and never leaked, smelled, splashed or done any of the things the folk who've never had one aboard will tell you it will do. It even doubles as a seat or top surface on occasion. Experience is so much better than presumption. You do need to be quite friendly with the other folk aboard though.

Got one in my cuddy cabin and it is great. Never used it myself, but it's a hit with the ladies. Doesn't leak etc. Agree with jwalker...

My splash well and arch is the perfect urinal.

And what is more, we can prove we can multi task, by sitting on the "bucket" and helming at the same time

Hadn't thought of that. Sounds like fun. Must try it sometime.

We tend to go out for at least 4hrs to make it worthwhile so there have been quite a few times I've been thankful for the bucket.

Guess I'll wait a bit longer before I decide. We still haven't used the "bog in a bag" in anger yet so I may see how that goes first.

Anyway, thanks for all your help and advice guys.

The perfect solution!

How about this Console Toilet?

Washes your bot during rough weather too.
