I did my BOSIET which I believe can be CE. Theys no requirement to go in the water. You can stand on the pool side as long as you understand the theory behind it. In fact the HSE stopped you righting the liferaft incase the cylinder struck you on the head.

Again, I just completed my refresher course and the only wet bit was doing the chopper ditching which is your choice again.

Sounds interesting................

Doug, you seem determined to make this unpleasant and I am sorry that has happened.

You wanted me to sort out all the payments and as you must know debit cards and credit cards cost money to process, as do Paypal payments and some bank transfers. You also expected me to carry any slack from minor cock ups that occurred along the way. The 4% "profit" you describe would not have begun to cover this, but I was reluctant to subsidise the course. It would probably have cost me a couple of quid, not much but I could not justify it.

As for the free place, that was your suggestion and certainly not something I asked for.

Thanks to all those who have booked.

The course is now full (11 ribnetters, 4 others and 1 staff member).

I would be happy however to postpone the staff member onto a later course to free up space for one more Ribnetter on this one- please call- 02380231122 armed with debit card if you want this last place.

Look forward to seeing you all

A big thanks you to Doug - I thought it was a very well run and organised day - and whilst I couldn't participate in the wet stuff (still recovering from being in hospital) it was a huge amount of fun watching certain RIBnet members get very very wet

Good to catch up with you all again

Did they all managed to get into the liferaft, and did you enjoyed last exercise with the fire hoses! I hoped everybody passed.

Yes it was a really good day, thanks ! I do have a few pictures, mostly of the flares so a lot of smoke, but haven't got around to posting yet. Oh, and the one of Darren looking so pleased to be modelling the anti hypothermia suit... let me know if you want that one posted on here or not !
