Can anyone tell me the distance between the jockey seat bases at deck level on the 500,550 or 6m ribs.

Also a pic of where they sit in relation to the deck rails if possible.

Right it is 31.5cm between the jockey seat, 15cm from the curve at the sit to the outer edge of the jockey and the back is 41cm from the bench seat.
I do not have rails set in to the floor!

Thanks dude I have a little less space, did you measure the 31.5cm & 15cm at the rear of the seats? I measured at the front so it may start to taper towards the bow at that point.

I'll check again tomorrow, but I reckon I've got 28cm in between and 14cm at the sides at the front of the seats.

Hi I measured from the back, but have just checked the front and it is the same!
The deck narrows in front of the jockey seats not before.

Thanks dude, this is a 550 and I'm guessing yours is a 600? I'm sure that they are all from the same mould so I'll measure at the back of mine when I go the the boat. It could be that the deck moulds are different.

As you once said to me the storage in these ribeye's is awesome

Yep mine is a 6m they do pack a whole lot in to a not so large rib
The down side is you can end up carting more kit round than you need

Lookin at that plan, does the massive offset between the helm seat and the wheel not drive you nuts? (Just asking )

I'll keep it until I find something that I really want. Haven't been out in it yet but if it performs like this 600 that went round Britain with us then I'll be in no rush

It's quite impressive to fit 8 seats (excluding the bow seat) in a 5.5m. I'll let you know how she goes

You would think so, but no it doesn't as I have left hand on the wheel and right on the throttle it actually puts the two in a better more comfortable position

I agree with your thinking on the position of the wheel/throttle and I remember that crossing well, bloody terrible as I remember it, snapped that guys achilles tendon mid crossing in that Humber

Ella can you tell me have you made any changes to the 6m to take the 150hp outboard? or can I fit one to my 2006 6m with out and modification I can always ask Santa

Its a much heavier/reinforced build spec now so we would not advise you put a 150hp on a 2006 Ribeye - sorry about that.
