hope all go's well and its a minor problem,

just a thought

Have ago at asking for advice on the technical thread
maybe one of the marine mechanics will have seen this type of thing before,and have afew answers but would not necassarly read this thread on ribeyes, .

My guess would be that it is excess sealant from when the fuel filler or pickup, fuel gauge sender, or inspection hatch were fitted.

An easy remedy is to fit an inline fuel filter to the end of the pickup pipe in the tank, but ideally you want to thoroughly clean out the fuel tank.

Is the boat new? if so I would insist that the dealer sorts it out for you.
