Thanks for that folks. Had to leave quickly and just got back in as we had to pull a guy outa the sea at the end of our road. Nice night for it though, although the water is definitely still a bit chilly for midnight swims and paddling! Re the drysuit Martin- its just being replaced due to a few problems and I'm having a more manly shade of baby blue, cos I was attracting attention from entirely the wrong sort of people

No far from it. He'll be explaining it all to the magistrates this morning.
one Atlantic and two ILB's, a police helicopter lighting the scene, - half a dozen wet police officers, and two wet coastguards wading back thru flooding tidal gullies as a spring tide chased us back in.

Sounds like a tough experience. One to be retold over a pint in Cowes Dave!

tough experience.
Naw-just a normal night out with the lads. Calm and warm enough night-the attention seekers dont go down there when its rough or cold -they leave those sort of nights for the poor souls who do really need help of some sort!

oh dear this is becoming a saga. After last night's event, today we had two young men trying to rescue their dog from the sea. Dead dog and one body recovered, one person still missing. Search called off until early morning then we will be out again. Such a shame for them of course, but also their poor families.
