I'd decide:
1) what I wanted out of a RIB - what I'd be using it for, and where
2) then define the specification / features required to deliver this inc. size - there's a huge difference between a 4.8m and 5.85m in size & price
3) see what boats / manufacturers meet the spec requirements - price being one.

What you need for safety boat type work will be different from a dive boat, will be different from solo / family cruising.

Thanks all... will consider all these things when I finally can get a boat. Though may have to wait a year or so... just had to buy a new boiler and pump!
