Both great boats. Used lots of them. Would be happy with either but think I'd go for the ribtec if I was buying either.

Handeling better on the Ribtec, I loved mine and traded up to a 655. As for build quality, nothing to choose between my current 2011 boat and any Ribcrafts I've seen, couple of niggles on my 585 but they were more to do with the people who rigged it.
