not sure the prosport warranty is good anywhere in the world at the moment

the resale value of prosports will fall if they have gone down the tubes

the problem with the gel coat coming off or missing .....indicative of general quality potentially........walk away

Abit of gel coat missing doesn't necessarily mean a poor quality product, the owner could have cocked it up getting on the trailer or hit something in the water. I can safely say I ve done both at some point
As RW is being very diplomatic im going to stick my neck out and say the Ribcraft is the better quality boat, and that Prosports aren't renowned for their quality.
Post here about a Prosport: Should I be worried?

My money would be on the Ribcraft, nothing wrong with a Prosport and probably better than some of the cheapo ribs on the market, but the Ribcraft is better for the money. The cracks in that console is an early indication that the seating isn't going to last that long,

My money would be on the Ribcraft

I wasn't really being diplomatic I was trying to enable Alt to make the right decision. It really depends on price in 3 years time the prosport will be worth a lot less than the Ribcraft and I think the Mariner will probably shade the Suzi in value also.

I would like to point out that it is not my intention to upset or estrange any Suzuki or Prosport Owners with my comments.

So it comes down to Kwalitee and price, is the Prosport significantly cheaper than the Ribcraft (like 25%) and what percentage of the new price is being asked for the Ribcraft

depending on those answers then it's a no brainer, but if the difference in price is huge then you have to seriously consider the Prosport

Why should a Mariner be worth more than a Suzuki? If anything I would have thought it would be the other way around?

why?

Suzuki's used to be known in the trade as Alka Selzers. Cos they disolved when they went in the water! I believe this situation has improved but they most certainly don't have the market share enjoyed by the Big two

It is also fairly common knowledge that the Mariner Mercury lump is a rebadged Yamaha and you can't really get better than that....can you?
