I recognise Cougars and Pascoes in there - have they left Henshaws and started on their own?

i can answer this one really well, paul and me worked at ocean many years ago, he did the tubes there, he was trained by one of the material suppliers, cookee's right with who he does work for, he's just another one like me who used to work behind the big names, he's is genuinely a very good guy, tell him i sent you, i might get my tubes cheaper, i'm surprised nasher hasn't heard of him, if he's got an ocean paul did his tubes

Ah, he'd be a good bet for a re-tube quote at some point then.

In all the time I spent wth Colin and Malcolm, and the converstaions we had, the tube makers name didn't come up.

It's good to know now though, thanks.

Oh yes, I understand how it works don't worry.

I've always repaired my tubes myself, even some quite big stuff like re-building the cone end on an old flatacraft, and reattaching the tubes on the ocean.

wouldn't want to make a new set from scratch, but would like to try putting a new set of tubes on a RIB if they were supplied ready made up.

2 of you should be able to put a set on in a day, i can remember doing a 10m set with paul for some "sir" someone or other, tapered tube with no pattern, first time round, they were spot on, as always at ocean they were always rushing us, the hardest thing was trying to glue up 20m of fendering and get it on in one go

Paul seems like a good chap. He's based up at Trafalgar Wharf and has offered me advice on various things. You always know he's on his way in or out as he's got a "pimped" mini that sounds like its on acid!
